Meet our Landscape Architect!
Daniel Floyd serves as the Landscape Architect for The Grove Nursery and our sister location, Piney Grove Nursery. A graduate of Auburn University with a master’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Daniel brings advanced education, creativity, and a thoughtful approach to every property he works with.
Daniel personally visits each property, captures drone footage to better understand the space, and develops a custom design tailored to the property, the client’s goals, and the long term success of the landscape. Every design is created by Daniel himself, not generated by AI or pulled from a template. Each client receives a thoughtful, original plan designed specifically for their property.
From Property to Plan
Every great landscape starts with understanding the property. Daniel begins each project with an on site visit, taking time to evaluate the existing landscape, layout, surrounding features, site conditions, and overall potential of the space. As an FAA certified Remote Drone Pilot, he also captures aerial footage to gain a broader perspective of the property and help guide the design process.
Daniel’s experience extends well beyond design. With a background in sustainable landscape design, nursery operations, plant management, project coordination, and design implementation, he understands what it takes to create a landscape that is both beautiful and practical.
Using his knowledge of plant selection, spacing, scale, functionality, long term growth, and site conditions, Daniel creates a custom landscape plan tailored to the property and the client’s vision. The result is a thoughtful, cohesive design that not only looks beautiful, but is planned to work successfully within the space for years to come.
